INSTALLATION ADVICE

CHOOSING THE RIGHT SUBFLOOR

A number of options exist. Talk to one of our representatives or refer to your local building code.

It is very important to make sure the floor’s humidity level meets the recommended standard. If the humidity level is off, you must find out why and take whatever steps are required to adjust it before proceeding with the installation of your hardwood floor.

As the owner of a hardwood floor, you must check the humidity level and make sure it remains within the recommended range before, during, and after installation.

Subfloors must be sufficiently stable, perfectly flat, clean, and free of debris.
